用法
allow sb.to do sth.是动词allow+宾语sb.+宾语补足语to do sth.结构，通常用于被动语态。其中的allow是及物动词，表示“许可;允许”之意，后面接名词、代词、动名词或从句作宾语(当动词作宾语时，动词不能用不定式结构，而用-ing形式)。例如：
① My parents don't allow me to play computer games on weekdays.= I am not allowed to play computer games on weekdays by my parents.

② My mother doesn't allow any noise in the dining room.= Any noise in the dining room is not allowed by my mother.
