Acts of the Apostles
Commonly called "Acts" ,it is the fifth book of theNew Testament. Written by Luke as part of a 2-volume work,it is a sequelto the Gospel of Luke which tells "all that Jesus began both to do and toteach". The themes in the book revolve around
A) key persons such as Peter & Paul ;
B) important ideas and events (role of Holy Spirit,mission outreach andchurch growth) ;
C) critical problems (persecution of the church,Jew-Gentile conflict,trials before government officials);
D) expansion of the church from Jerusalem to Rome.
