1.3.1 Flood simulation and forecasting

An important application of hydrological model is the use of models transforming meteorological precipitation forecasts into river flood forecasts.Theapplication of watershed models requires the efficient management of large spatial and temporal datasets.In 1990s，the development of GIS and data base hassupported distributed hydrological modeling in the application of flood simulation and forecasting.The parameters and spatial information are closely relatedfor the integration of hydrological modeling with geosciences.For instance，HEC model (William et al.，2010) can be divided into two parts： HECGeoHMS and HEC-HMS.HEC-HMS is mainly applied in flood forecastingincluding basin model，meteorological model and control specification.Basinmodel can ......     （共4911字）    [阅读本文]>>
