4.6 Parameter calculation

One key characteristic and advantage of distributed hydrological models isthat parameters have physical meanings and can be calculated directly from underlying data.Parameters of main rivers and tributaries inside the sub-basinare calculated according to DEM，flow length，river network codes and subbasin division results.Runoff generation parameters are used and calculatedfrom all physical parameters in each grid according to DEM，land use and soildata.Then these parameters are summarized into inner computational units(EEB，Equal Elevation Band;EFB，Equal Flow Band; or HRU，Hydrological Response Unit) of each sub-basin.
